2019: Writing a new musical at New York SongSpace

This January, Emily will begin her residency at New York SongSpace. She won this grant as part of her Lilly Award for Women in Theatre, the “Go Write A Musical” award.

New York SongSpace is a space for writers of musical theatre founded by Kara Unterberg. Residents at SongSpace include , Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days), Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair (Murder For Two), and Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, The Greatest Showman, La La Land).
